CLASS MOMS for Creative Movement Classes

There is one CLASS MOM for each class.  The CLASS MOM’S duty it to take care of the dancers for the duration of the first half of the show.  Her job is to make sure that all the dancers look the same.  All straps attached the same way.  All hair should be in the same style.   NO jewelry, nail polish or underpants.

The CLASS MOM is the only parent with a backstage pass.

No other parents are allowed backstage after the show begins.

Dancers should arrive by 2:45 PM

Be sure your dancer has been fed and watered and is in costume.  One parent and the dancer will enter the stage door.  The Backstage Doorman will give that parent the dancer’s Recital Bracelet.  All other guests will go to the lobby.  Tickets are $7. (Dancers, CLASS MOMS, and Dancing Dads do not need a ticket.)

As you arrive, the Creative Movement dancers will assemble in the Green Room.  The CLASS MOM will be waiting in the Green Room to welcome your child.  The Green Room has carpet, tables, chairs, and sofas.  These young dancers stay in this room when they are not on stage.  The TV in this room monitors the stage and the children can watch what is going on.  The CLASS MOMs stay with the children.  Snacks and water will be available after they dance, as well as puzzles, crayons and coloring books.  Sometimes the CLASS MOMs organize games with the dancers.  If these dancers have an older family member dancing, the child will be escorted to the wings to watch that dancer on stage.

All Creative Movement classes will dance in the first half. At the end of the first half, there will be a Creative Movement Finale.  The dancers will stay on stage behind the curtain for intermission.  During intermission the dancers will be dismissed to the parent that brought the dancer the Green Room.   That parent must present the Recital Bracelet to obtain entrance to the stage area.  Parent and dancer return to the audience, sit with their families and watch the second half of the show, including the TEACHERS DANCE and the DADS DANCE.
